Get Wise
Continuing our journey through the great stories of the Bible, we enter a season of the ancient Jewish world called The Divided Kingdom. Following the death of King David, God’s people divide into a Northern Kingdom (called Israel) and a Southern Kingdom (called Judea). In this three-week series, we’ll explore how wisdom can keep us from the temptations of power and can transform our relationships, our connection with God, and in our own souls. During our weekend services we’ll explore King Rehoboam’s Lack of Wisdom (1 Kings 12), The Prophet Elisha and the Healing of Naaman (2 Kings 5:1-19), and King Josiah’s Reform (2 Kings 22-23) with our Life Groups reading Elijah and the Prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18), God Responds to Hezekiah (2 Kings 20), and the Fall of Jerusalem (2 Kings 24:18-25:21). This series will also reference Proverbs as a source of wisdom during this time period and for us.
